“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
What is an EdCamp?
Simply put, an EdCamp is participant-driven professional learning. The outcomes and content for the conference is shaped by the participants. At its heart, it is interest-driven education designed by educators, for educators.
Imagine a gathering of motivated, intelligent, and excited educators from a wide range of content areas and grade levels leading conversations about learning. Learning that is done with you, rather than to you! Conversations might explore the use of technology, dive into and have dialogue about the best instructional practices, debate the best implementation of common core standards for reading, and a myriad of other topics. An EdCamp is an opportunity for all attendees to engage in peer-to-peer sharing and make professional connections.
